They seek him here they seek him there
As in a previous blog, I travel to many places to see clients on a 1-2-1 basis, to cure, clear-up phobias, give confidence, self esteem, coach, or do whatever a client needs from me. It does not matter where I am asked to go, I go.
I have traveled from my home in Kingston upon Thames, London, to Rome, to Northern Ireland, to the far reaches of the UK to work with clients, and obviously it has taken me a full day, leaving at day break and getting home late at night, or even staying the night. People seek me here, they seek me there, just because I have the reputation of being able to fulfill my work.
I will do what ever is required to help people to achieve their outcomes, to overcome their phobias and fears, and take as long as necessary to get there.
But then I hear comments, mostly from those who are jealous of my work, those who have not continually sought new knowledge to update themselves, sought out the masters to learn from, so that I can help others. These comments do not affect me, they do not worry me. Knives can be thrown at me, words can be said of me, who cares? Not me.
I hear :-
"You can be a Jack of all trades and Master of none."
This saying is made when someone "has their finger in many pies", they will or do not "specialise" in any one field. For example, there are those that become NLP Practitioners and that is all they do, or they learn to become a hypnotherapist and that is all they do, hypnotherapy, they learn CBT or HCBT, and that is all they do.
For me I have gone to the best, the originators, to seek knowledge and to learn from. For many years being with and assisting Richard Bandler, Paul McKenna, Michael Breen, for NLP and its' related subjects. To have learned from the greatest hypnotists, Ormond McGill, Gill Boyne, and Paul McKenna. To learn from Paul Scheele of PhotoReading, Tony Buzan for Mind Maps, Dr Win Wenger, Gianni Golfera for Memory, To learn hypnotherapy, and become a trainer with the National Guild of Hypnosis (NGH), to learn about CBT and HCBT.
I have gone out of my way to become an expert in the subjects, enough to become a trainer in those subjects, and I still seek more knowledge. I use the techniques, I practice, I live what I have learned. I have and am Mastering them all, and teaching others with the approval of the originators.
I hear :-
"How can you treat a client in one session?"
I work with clients only once, I do not have enough time to spend weeks with a client, I have other people to see, trainings to give, places to visit.
The one session I am with a client can last for many hours, I will not stop until I know that the client has reached their outcome, and I only see one client a day, so thus I can spend all that time with them.
If you take a typical therapy session, it will last for one hour. Break the session down. The first 15 minutes (+) is used to get the client into state, may be hypnosis, getting the facilitator and client into rapport. The last 15 minutes (+), is used to get the client ready to leave, to take the payment/fee. So, how much time is actually used for real worK? Less than 30 minutes.
My sessions are in one go. I still have the start and end 15 minutes, but the middle session is pure quality time.
So that is why I find myself booking a flight to fly to Jersey next Monday to see a client. Yes it is a long way to go to the small island, 14 miles off the coast of France, 100 miles from Mainland Britain, the most southerly Island of the British Isles. (click to understand the British Isles).
They seek him here they seek him there.
Yes people do seek out those that are good, but you also get those who have not reached your greatness, those that wish to pull you down, to discredit, who wish to "Jump on the Band Wagon". They want to copy you, do what you are doing. They are just jealous.
It is said "You get back what you give out" and "What goes around, comes around", (click to read).
No matter where you are, be yourself, do your best, be proud of who you are, your abilities, your knowledge. Never actively seek to hurt others.
So to the person who wrote to me. You are the best, just live it and believe in it.
